Connections
Every AI app you sign in to the Dashcat connector becomes a connection: claude.ai, Claude Code on your laptop, ChatGPT, and so on. Each one is listed under Connections in Dashcat Dashboard, with when it was last used.
In several teams
Section titled “In several teams”One connection reaches every team you’re in, so you sign each AI app in once.
When you’re in more than one team, your AI names each node with its team in front, such as
acme/reception-pc or tom/laptop (your Personal team goes by your handle). A name that’s in
only one team works without it. Leave a team and your AI apps stop reaching its nodes at once.
What an app can work on is set per team: in each team’s Connections page, you choose which of that team’s nodes it reaches. Members see and manage only their own connections there. Owners and admins see everyone’s, and can narrow any of them in their team.
Which nodes an app can reach
Section titled “Which nodes an app can reach”A new connection can work on every node that allows the connector. To narrow it:
- Open Connections and find the app.
- Choose Choose nodes, pick Only these groups and nodes, and tick what it may work on. A ticked group covers every node in it, including nodes you add to it later.
Nodes an app can’t reach are hidden from it: your AI won’t see them, or any group that holds only such nodes. Nodes set to Direct only never appear to any connection.
Removing an app
Section titled “Removing an app”Choose Remove beside the app. It’s shut out at once, in every team, mid-conversation included. To use it again, sign in from the app once more; it comes back as a new connection that can reach every node, so choose its nodes again.
An owner or admin can choose Remove from team on someone else’s app. It stops reaching that team’s nodes at once, and keeps working in its person’s other teams.
On the node
Section titled “On the node”The first time a new AI app uses a node, the Dashcat icon on that node shows a notice. The node’s
activity log names who asked and through which app on every request, for
example Dashcat connector (@tom via Claude (claude.ai)).
To keep every connection off a node for a while, choose Pause remote access from its Dashcat icon. To keep the connector off it for good, join it as Direct only. See Security.
